This eighteen-month LLM is taught in English on the Limassol campus and offered jointly by the maritime and law departments. Both full-time and part-time attendance are offered.
The degree combines the legal and business sides of shipping. It aims to give managers and lawyers the skills to advise clients, litigate and negotiate, and to handle the legal complexity of international trade and transport. Frederick University presents it as a postgraduate programme that is unusual within Cyprus and among very few in the world, taught with an international group of specialist academics drawn from top universities.
Students may choose a group of elective subjects and earn one of three possible concentrations, for example commercial management. Graduates receive a master of laws focused on maritime law and the shipping business.
