Program details
Overview
The Bachelor's programme in Biology covers how living systems connect, from molecules and cells to forests and oceans. Students combine laboratory work with field studies, running experiments and fieldwork within projects. Core subjects include genetics, evolution, physiology, botany and ecology.
The programme is built on problem-based learning: each semester students work in project groups on biological problems, often with research groups and external partners such as Aalborg Zoo. Courses and practical projects alternate, teaching statistics, data analysis and species identification. The degree can be combined with other subjects and gives the teaching competence to teach biology at upper secondary level.
