This bachelor's in Energy Engineering covers thermal and electrical energy systems, offshore energy technology, underwater drones, mechatronics, and control engineering, with a focus on how energy is converted and how to design more sustainable and efficient energy solutions. Theory is combined with project work and laboratory exercises built around real challenges drawn from the energy sector, and mathematics is used throughout for calculations and modelling. Students learn to design and optimise systems such as wind turbines, solar cells, Power-to-X installations, and energy storage, choosing a specialisation from the fifth semester onward. Depending on that specialisation, graduates can go on to work on the development of technologies such as offshore wind turbines, Power-to-X, HVAC systems, or underwater drones, at companies such as Ørsted, European Energy, TotalEnergies, Siemens Gamesa, and Vestas.
