The Diploma in Agroforestry (Level 5) builds practical capability across the land-use and forestry sector: students study tree-and-crop integration systems, approaches to rural livelihoods and community development, protecting biodiversity, responding to climate change, safeguarding forests, running tree nurseries, and turning non-timber forest produce into marketable goods. The programme also introduces the business and entrepreneurial side of agroforestry work, equipping graduates for direct employment or self-employment in forestry and land management while laying a foundation for continued learning and personal growth. Entry calls for the Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination or an equivalent result of at least 200 out of 400 marks, including 50 percent in Mathematics, English, and one of Biology, Agriculture or Chemistry, together with a further related subject.
