This Master of Arts in Geography takes a multidisciplinary view of geographical phenomena, pairing careful spatial analysis with training in research methods across both human and physical geography, geographic information systems and other geospatial tools. By building critical thinking, problem solving and independent research ability, it is meant to prepare graduates for work in academia, environmental planning, urban development and related fields.
Delivered at the Nasinu and Lautoka campuses over two years for 240 credit points, the first year pairs research methods and techniques with world regional geography, climatology and hazards geography, and tourism geography, while the second year is set aside entirely for a master's research thesis spread across both semesters. Entry calls for a GPA of 3 out of 5 with a B or better in a related postgraduate diploma, or several years of relevant teaching, research or industry experience.

Admission Requirements: A grade point average of 3 out of 5, with a grade of B or higher, in a Postgraduate Diploma in Geography or equivalent.
