Overview
The Master of Commerce in Accounting, offered by FNU's School of Accounting and developed through consultation with industry stakeholders, provides accountancy knowledge beyond bachelor's level to meet the complexity of the business and regulatory environment. First-year units cover advanced auditing and assurance, financial reporting and management accounting, business research methods and ethics and governance, while second-year units add forensic accounting and fraud examination, advanced taxation, business analysis and risk management, and climate-change and sustainability accounting.
The two-year, 240-credit-point degree is taught at the Nasinu, Labasa, Namaka and Ba campuses. Entry requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least a 3.0 GPA; applicants with a lower GPA may qualify with two-plus years of relevant industry background, or with the Dean's approval.
