Master's Degree Programme in Biomedical Imaging, Master of Science (2 years), Åbo Akademi University

The two-year Master of Science programme in biomedical imaging trains professionals with theoretical understanding and practical skills across many imaging methods and technologies. It is an international programme for students holding a B.Sc. in areas such as biochemistry, bioinformatics, biology, medical sciences, pharmacology or physics. Taught in English on campus, it covers light microscopy, advanced fluorescence, super-resolution, electron microscopy, nuclear imaging and magnetic resonance imaging. Students learn to analyse imaging data with bioimage informatics tools, statistics and related IT skills, and gain hands-on laboratory and research experience in projects with imaging components. Depending on the chosen specialisation, graduates attain basic to advanced knowledge in medical imaging and related fields. The programme carries 120 ECTS credits, and non-EU/EEA students pay a fee per academic year.
