Overview

The Doctoral Programme of Social and Behavioural Sciences is part of the University of Turku Graduate School (UTUGS). The fields of study in the programme are philosophy, contemporary history, social policy, social work, sociology, economic sociology, political science, East Asian Studies, psychology and speech-language pathology.The work load of the doctoral degree is approximately 4 years of fulltime work. This consists of postgraduate studies, doctoral research (dissertation) and a public defence of the doctoral thesis.
