MA/MS in Metsätiede, maisteri (2 v)

The two-year master's degree in forest sciences builds the skills needed to promote the economic, ecological, social and cultural sustainability of forest management and use. Forests supply many material and immaterial goods, and their use is expected to grow in importance as renewable natural resources gain value. The degree rests on multidisciplinary and international studies. Specialisation options include forest management, ecosystem services and forest health; peatland and forest ecology with restoration; forest assessment and planning; forest economics and policy; and wood technology with biomass production. The programme totals 120 ECTS credits and is taught in Finnish.
