Program details

Overview

The Licence professionnelle Bibliothécaire trains adults for library and media library careers and runs at the IUT Bordeaux Montaigne Bordeaux Centre site. Libraries are changing and are linked to social and cultural development policies, so the job requires civic engagement and an understanding of fighting illiteracy and digital exclusion. The course is open to continuing education and alternance. Students alternate IUT lectures with placements in libraries, media libraries and museum libraries over at least 16 weeks, and the official jury awards diplomas in July. Selection has two steps: an application file (CV, motivation letter, academic record, experience) and a video interview.

Requirements

Interview: Required
Admission Requirements: Capacity of 20 places. Two-step selection: application file (CV, motivation letter, academic record, experience), then admission after a video-conference interview.
