Overview
The Master MICAS (Microbiote, Intestin, Cerveau et Aliment Santé) is a biology-health master co-accredited by Nantes Université and Oniris VetAgroBio. It studies the mechanisms behind chronic neurological, inflammatory and metabolic diseases, and how the gut microbiota, diet and the environment modulate them. The programme draws on research units across the Nantes site and aims to train people working on chronic disease in humans and animals, with a focus on the food-health link.
It runs as a Cursus Master et Doctorat for two years in initial training. After the master, graduates can build their own career or continue a research project towards a doctorate.
