Overview

The CPES Sciences pathway is an interdisciplinary science licence that combines mathematics, physics and chemistry, with a progressive specialisation according to the student's interests and career project. It also explores science and social science subjects. Students can validate a double licence, combining CPES Sciences with the Chimie or Geosciences licence track, and gain 2 to 6 months of laboratory or company placements in France and abroad. The course is taught partly at the University of Strasbourg and partly at the CPGE of Lycee Kleber, with small groups of up to 25 students. Graduates can apply by file to engineering schools, grandes ecoles such as the ENS, and master programmes. Teaching combines laboratory work, field experience, specialist courses given by research-active lecturers and international openness.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Candidates should show strong intellectual curiosity and interest in links between disciplines, plus written and oral reasoning and argument skills. They need good organisation and the ability to study in depth, with at least A2 level in English and German and science courses at upper-secondary level.
