Program details

Overview

The Arts plastiques master in the Faculty of Arts runs for two years and 120 ECTS. Its research-and-practice track begins with an apprenticeship in the methods and objects of scientific research specific to visual arts. By the end of the first year, students narrow their theme, define their practice and articulate the theoretical problem. The second year deepens the theory, develops the artistic production and includes an internship in cultural sectors. All research work, including the dissertation, is publicly defended. A separate Agrégation track prepares candidates for the agrégation in visual arts, organised in three phases: knowledge of programmes and admissibility tests, the methodology of each written test, and preparation for the three oral admission exams, including the agrégation lesson.
