Program details
Overview
The Master Danse combines training in choreographic culture with a theoretical and analytical view of dance practice. It covers history, aesthetics and anthropology of dance, and the bodily practices used by dancers, and it suits young dancers, choreographers, dance teachers, arts students and professionals retraining in the field.
The programme pursues four aims: deepen knowledge of dance for practitioners and professionals, add a theoretical and analytical dimension to professional practice in creation, teaching and mediation, develop a critical stance on the link between theory and dance skills, and prepare students who intend to pursue doctoral research.
