BA/BS in Architektur

Architecture at RWTH covers the planning of rooms, buildings, urban districts and landscapes, with technical, aesthetic and social aspects weighed together. Students learn to develop design ideas and carry them toward realisation. The standard period of study is 6 semesters, worth 180 ECTS credits, with teaching in German. Courses begin in the winter semester. The programme is taught on campus at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, in the usual full-time format. Graduates can move on to a consecutive master's degree or begin a professional career. Admission requires the German university entrance qualification (Abitur) or an equivalent recognised entrance qualification (HZB), and the first semester is under restricted admission (NC).
