B.Ed. Business Studies

The Bachelor of Education in Business Studies is offered through the Business Studies Department of The Mico University College and gives future teachers a broad grounding in business subjects. The department aims to develop graduates with a global outlook, strategic initiative, research skills, and the social and emotional skills required in business and in the classroom. Learning draws on lectures, seminars, business competitions and project-based activities. The department describes networking opportunities that include working with other tertiary institutions and companies locally and abroad, student exchanges, conference participation, product prototype design, and developing and testing business models. Candidates need five CSEC subjects, among them Principles of Accounts at grade 1 or 2 plus one further business subject, and a Level 3 City and Guilds qualification is also accepted.
