Environmental Engineering and Sustainability trains students to design the systems that keep pollution, waste, and resource use in check across industrial and urban settings. The four-year, 132 credit-hour program covers water and air quality management alongside renewable energy systems and sustainable approaches to urban planning.
Coursework includes conducting environmental impact assessments, a skill applied directly to construction and industrial projects where engineers need to show how a development will affect its surroundings before it goes ahead. The program treats environmental protection and economic activity as things to be balanced rather than traded off against one another, which shapes how students approach pollution control and waste management problems. Graduates are prepared for roles in environmental consulting, urban sustainability planning, and industrial compliance work across Kuwait.
