The Bachelor of Management Information Systems is a four-year, 120-credit-hour programme in AU's College of Business, aligned with CQUniversity's own requirements, that teaches students to apply information and computer systems to real business problems. Across eight semesters, the curriculum builds toward designing, developing and deploying integrated business applications meant to help organisations of different sizes improve how they work with customers, staff, partners and suppliers.
Graduates are expected to analyse complex computing problems using principles from computing and related fields, and to design and evaluate computing-based solutions against a defined set of requirements, while communicating clearly across professional settings. The programme also covers the ethical and legal responsibilities that come with computing practice, working effectively as part of a team, and supporting the day-to-day delivery, use and management of information systems once in a role, opening routes into careers such as systems trainer or e-commerce developer.
