European Construction Management is a tri-national track of the Bachelor in Engineering in which students change country each year. The first year takes place at the Université de Lorraine in Metz and covers languages, mathematics and statics; the second year is spent at the University of Luxembourg, focusing on construction management, structural engineering and technical mechanics; and the final year is completed at HTW Saar in Saarbrücken, with project and facility management and the bachelor thesis. Between the second and third years students complete an internship and a project in Saarbrücken. Most teaching is in German, with some courses in French or English. Applications are handled through the Franco-German institute DFHI/ISFATES rather than directly by the university, and the University of Luxembourg charges its fee only for the semesters spent in Luxembourg. Graduates can work as civil engineers, construction managers, surveyors or building engineers across Europe, or continue to the university's Master in civil engineering.
