PhD in Linguistics (Portuguese)

The PhD in Linguistics (Portuguese) at the University of Macau is a four-year doctoral programme taught in Portuguese. According to the page it is under review and will start operating once published in the Macao SAR Gazette, with a study plan listed from the 2027/2028 academic year. The programme aims to give a thorough grounding in the theoretical, empirical and practical sides of linguistics, and to help future researchers examine issues of language in society across the Portuguese-speaking countries from critical and comparative angles.
