The MSc in Business Analytics trains students to use analytical and technological tools to collect data, draw out intelligence and help organisations understand complex business issues. It suits industry practitioners and recent graduates from business, economics, statistics, mathematics, science, computing or information systems.
The normative study period is two years and teaching is in English. Classes run either at the main campus in the evenings and at weekends, or at the Science and Education Base of the University of Macau in Hengqin during the day, with some sessions on the main campus. The faculty makes the final decision on class arrangements after considering preferences stated in applications.
Learning outcomes cover explaining existing and emerging business data tools, spotting the challenges and opportunities they create, applying advanced analytical tools to specific problems, and observing legal, ethical and professional codes. Applicants prove their English with either a university testimonial that English was the teaching language, or a TOEFL, IELTS or CET6 score.
