Bachelor of Information Technology

Maldives Business School's Bachelor of Information Technology is a three-year degree at MQA Level 7, distinct from the school's business degrees in its technical grounding. The first year covers computer systems, procedural programming, database design, networking technologies and website design, alongside e-commerce business skills. The second year builds toward object-oriented programming, web application development, programming in Java and internet server management, with local area networking and IT and network security running throughout. The third year folds in enterprise process integration and advanced database management alongside network operating systems, server administration, web development and mobile application development, finishing with a capstone project. The degree can also be studied online. Fees are advertised from MVR 1,967 a month under a self-finance plan, lower than the school's other bachelor degrees, with a separate free-degree route; the full schedule should be confirmed with the school. Entry requires two A-level or HSC passes, a completed Certificate Level 4 qualification, or, for applicants aged 20 and over, grade 10 completion with two years of work experience and an MQA-approved university preparation programme.
