Overview

The Advanced Diploma in Midwifery builds on a general nursing qualification to train skilled midwives, a core part of the Maldivian healthcare team. Students build the clinical skill to support mothers safely and effectively across pregnancy, labour and the weeks after birth, alongside the critical thinking needed to identify best practice in midwifery. Full-time study runs from Male' over three semesters, and entry requires a Diploma in Nursing plus current Registered Nurse registration with the Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council.
