Mandhu College's Bachelor of Counselling (Human Services) is a three-year, six-semester, 360-credit-point programme at MNQF Level 7, offered both on the college's Male' campus and through its Virtual Campus for students studying from home. The curriculum moves from psychology and social theory in the first year into applied counselling skills, substance-abuse and child-rights issues in the second, and specialist clinical topics such as abnormal psychology, grief, group work and mental-health treatment in the third, alongside two practicum placements that give students supervised, real-world counselling experience before they graduate.
The course prepares practitioners to support clients dealing with mental-health difficulties, substance abuse and child-protection concerns, combining theory with hands-on practice under qualified supervisors. Entry is open to applicants with two GCE A Level passes, a relevant Level 4 qualification, or completion of Mandhu College's Foundation for Degree Studies, with credit transfer available for those already holding a diploma or associate-level qualification.
