Diploma in Business (Accounting)

Mandhu College's Diploma in Business, specialising in Accounting, is a one-year, 120-credit-point qualification taught over two semesters through the college's Virtual Campus. Students cover core business units in management, quantitative methods, business communication, economics and marketing, alongside accounting-focused content that introduces the basics of financial recording and management accounting, giving them the foundation needed for lower-middle-ranked, technical roles in a business accounts department. The qualification works both as an entry-level credential for the Maldivian job market and as the first academic step toward higher qualifications in accounting and financial management, including Mandhu College's own Associate Degree and Bachelor of Business programmes. It suits school leavers who want a quicker, more practical route into employment than a full degree, as well as working adults looking to formalise existing bookkeeping or accounts experience. Entry is open to Higher Secondary Education completers and Level 4 qualification holders, with a mature-entry route through Mandhu College's approved University Preparation Programme for other applicants.
