MA/MS in Animation

This one-year Master of Animation combines innovative studio work with theoretical principles, covering storytelling in animation in relation to a student's own artistic vision and style, alongside research into relevant developments in the field. Studio work focuses on planning, feasibility, and production processes, testing artistic freedom in relation to commissioned work, and builds technical knowledge across Animation Principles, Acting and Performance, Modelling, Workflow, and Sound Design. The programme runs over two semesters from September to August, structured into five study periods each ending in an assessment, with four learning tracks running throughout the programme, including Storytelling & Design, Producing, and Positioning and Research.
