BA/BS in Teacher Education in History

History teacher education covers every period from antiquity to the present, and asks students to describe and explain historical developments. Students examine how views of past events have arisen over time and which view they hold themselves, within a Christian perspective on history. The programme is taught in the Opleiden in de School route, combining study at the hogeschool with teaching at a vo or mbo school. The four-year route leads to a second-degree teaching qualification in history and a full hbo diploma. Career changers can apply, subject to a suitability assessment and a personal training plan that can include up to 120 ECTS of modules.
