Overview

The Master Physician Assistant trains students to work independently in patient care. Physician assistants diagnose, examine and treat patients, and contribute to the continuity and quality of medical care. They may also take part in quality care at their workplace. The duaal route is tailored to each employer, with co-creation and short lines to the workplace deciding tasks and learning goals. The programme is publicly subsidised: students pay the statutory tuition fee and employers receive a subsidy. Graduates can take on independent medical tasks in their workplace.
