Program details

Overview

The programme treats photography as a broad practice for image-making and storytelling, with students developing their own position within it over four years by defining their interests and personal voice. Study begins with short-term assignments and moves toward longer-term, self-directed projects that lead students to their own subject matter and approach. Later stages bring more independence in shaping the direction of study, with an emphasis on experimentation, developing techniques and methodologies, and theoretical understanding, while situating the work in relation to society and contemporary visual culture as part of a developing professional practice.
