Program details

Overview

This two-year master's programme supports advanced, research-based creative enquiry for artists who want to explore how artistic and intellectual work can respond to the complexities of the present, built around repeated cycles of experimentation and reflection. Teaching is delivered by a team of practising artists and academics who form a research community with students. The curriculum combines practical and theoretical elements to prepare students for an artistic and intellectual career and for possible further study at doctoral level, supported by reading groups, workshops, guest seminars and individual tutorials connected to each student's artistic and written output. An annual exhibition in The Hague, excursions, publication projects and professional practice modules extend students' professional and artistic knowledge, connecting thinking, making, writing and sharing.
