Overview
The programme offers two tracks. Climate and Earth Observation focuses on monitoring, analysing and predicting the state of the planet, from sea-level rise and storms to heat waves, flooding and land subsidence, building skills in precise weather forecasting, renewable energy planning, geohazard mitigation, biodiversity protection, and monitoring infrastructure across both land and sea. Subsurface Energy and Resource Engineering looks at the subsurface's potential to support the energy transition and supply critical raw materials, teaching how geological processes shape the subsurface and how to design safe, efficient and sustainable solutions for geothermal energy, CO2 and hydrogen storage, and responsible resource extraction.
