BA/BS in Industrial Design Engineering

This programme teaches design methods that are applied together with stakeholders, including attention to ethics and cultural context, in projects such as addressing plastic waste in city canals using biomimicry, creating a sun visor or windshield wiper designed for a future vehicle, or developing lighting that supports a healthy biorhythm. The first semester introduces core methods and skills, applied directly in a design project for an external client. The following three semesters offer a choice of different programmes, each built around integrated projects for real clients alongside skills and methods training. A fifth semester is set aside for a minor, which can be taken at the home institution or elsewhere, an internship, or an exchange.
