International Bachelor in Psychology

Leiden's International Bachelor in Psychology gives a broad orientation across the discipline, covering its fundamentals along with all the main subdisciplines rather than an early specialisation. The programme builds academic development across areas including health psychology, cognitive psychology, economic and consumer psychology, social and organisational psychology, developmental psychology, and clinical and neuropsychology, giving graduates a wide base before any later specialisation. Throughout, the emphasis is on approaching human behaviour scientifically: examining claims critically rather than accepting them because they sound plausible or are widely held, and building the observational and logical reasoning associated with psychological practice. The broad structure is intended to let students encounter the discipline's different subfields directly before deciding where to specialise further, whether in a subsequent master's or in professional practice.
