MA/MS in Astronomy: Astronomy and Business Studies

The track prepares students for careers in science-related business and administration by pairing astronomy with training in organisations, the people within them, and how processes are set up and managed. The first year centres on astronomy, covering how galaxies take shape and change along with activity at their centres, and how stars form and evolve together with the surrounding dust, gas and planetary systems, combining coursework with research projects. The second year moves into Science-Based Business. The Leiden astronomy programme is particularly associated with its focus on the link between observation and theory, through interpretation, modelling and simulation.
