MA/MS in Modern Languages

Within the Linguistics master, this one-year specialisation lets students choose a single language theme or combine several: Chinese, English, French, German or Italian linguistics. Study covers how a language varies by place, situation and social group, how it changes over time, how people acquire or learn it, and how it is used in context, building skills relevant to careers in academia, teaching, writing and communications. It also serves as preparation for students who want to pursue second language learning, combine linguistics with literary studies of their chosen language, or continue into a subsequent educational master's.
