BA/BS in Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and Language Therapy trains students to help people with stuttering, lisping, language, speech and voice problems. Students work with clients from babies to older adults and with people with a disability or professional speakers, and learn the roles of communicator, collaborator, health coach, entrepreneur and innovator. Themes include linguistics, life-span psychology, neurology, hearing and voice, and each semester includes work on the student's own voice and speech. The four-year bachelor at hbo level has study coaching that can be individual or in small groups, and students make a study plan that records what they have achieved. In the first year students must earn 50 study credits to progress to the second year, with an agreed plan if credits are missing.
