AA/AS in Tourism and Event Management

Tourism and Event Management (Ad) is a two-year associate degree in Heerlen that trains organisers for hotels, campsites, holiday parks, festivals, trade fairs and congresses. Students map the steps that guests take before, during and after their visit, and learn to spot problems early and solve them. The course is practice-oriented and uses assignments from real clients. Graduates can work as project event managers in the Limburg region, which has strong demand for tourism and event professionals. Graduates receive a Dutch associate degree. Applicants who lack the right diploma but are 21 or older take an assessment consisting of a written test and a motivation interview.
