BA/BS in Praktisk-pedagogisk utdanning

The one-year practice-oriented teacher education (PPU) carries 60 ECTS and prepares for teaching in middle and lower secondary schools in KRLE/religion and social studies. The year combines four on-campus teaching weeks and six weeks of guided practice each semester. Practice can be arranged at a school closer to home for students living far from Oslo. Coursework covers pedagogy and subject didactics in both subjects. Graduates are qualified for work at the middle and lower secondary levels of compulsory school and in upper secondary education. The programme is also relevant for teachers in folk high schools and adult education. Intake is each semester.
