Diploma in Computer Science

The Diploma in Computer Science is offered by the Information Technology and Computer Science department of Al Zahra College for Women. The same department also runs a bachelor degree in Computer Science and a bachelor programme in Software Engineering, so the diploma sits alongside a wider computing pathway at the college. The published programme structure splits the study plan into three blocks of credit hours. College requirements amount to 12 credit hours, of which 9 are compulsory and 3 are elective. Department requirements add 21 compulsory credit hours, and the major requirements total 27 credit hours, made up of 21 compulsory and 6 elective hours. Students who want more detail than this outline can use the department's study plans, course descriptions, laboratory software and equipment lists, student guide and academic calendar, and can see the academic staff listing for the department.
