B.Eng. (Hons) Electronics and Telecommunications (Bachelor)

This honours engineering degree covers the electronics and communication technologies behind modern networks, from telecommunications to embedded systems. It is taught at Middle East College in English, on campus with full-time and part-time attendance, and is awarded by Coventry University in the United Kingdom. The listed duration is a four-year bachelor's route with a two-year diploma option. The programme links to fast-developing areas such as embedded artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics and self-driving vehicles. It also supports the electronics and telecommunications sector in Oman, where graduates help deliver text, audio and video using several technologies. The aims are to use scientific and engineering principles on practical problems, design devices and systems for industry needs, plan and carry out experiments, interpret the results, use current tools and technologies, and act with professional and ethical awareness.
