Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering)

This honours degree in software engineering addresses the development of digital systems and applications that individuals, businesses and governments depend on daily. As organisations lean on software to improve efficiency and customer experience, they look for people able to design, build, test, maintain and manage reliable systems. The degree follows a 3u1i model, with three years at the university followed by one year in industry, allowing students to apply academic foundations in a professional setting. Coursework covers project management and artificial intelligence, information security, testing, quality assurance, and system analysis and design alongside programming, as well as web engineering and secure development. The industry year lets students apply what they have learned about building and assuring software in a professional environment before graduating, which supports their readiness for development, testing and project roles.
