Overview

The Cloud Computing and IoT BSc is a 120-credit-hour undergraduate programme at the National University in Oman. Full-time study takes four years, and a flexible mode of study stretches the course to six years. Entry is open to students with a General Education Diploma or equivalent and at least a C in Mathematics. The university uses its placement test to set each student's starting level. Anyone with twelve years of schooling from a stream that includes mathematics can enrol, provided the admission criteria are met. Graduates can follow careers such as cloud engineer, IoT developer, cloud solutions architect, cloud security specialist or data engineer, as adoption of cloud technology and connected devices grows. Further study in specialised areas is possible, leading to master's and doctoral degrees.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Applicants need the General Education Diploma or an equivalent qualification with a minimum grade of C in Mathematics. Each student's starting level is set by the NU Placement Test. Twelve years of schooling in any stream that includes mathematics also qualifies, provided the admission criteria are met.
