BA/BS in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering

Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at Sohar University is a practice-oriented programme intended to produce engineers able to work in industrial and technical environments. It is taught in English on a full-time basis, with a two-year diploma route and a four-year bachelor's degree of 133 credit hours. Students get practical experience of mechanical design and analysis, process optimisation and automated control systems, and they develop the leadership skills needed to guide teams in manufacturing, consulting, government, academia and private companies. Laboratory sessions, visits to industry and structured training link theory to practice, with core attention to applied mechanics, thermodynamics and mathematical modelling. Bachelor's graduates can work as mechanical, mechatronics, industrial and maintenance, or manufacturing engineers, or as researchers, while diploma holders can work as technicians in the same areas.
