Master of Education (High Ability Studies)

The High Ability Studies specialisation of the Master of Education is run by the National Institute of Education for teachers, educational researchers and other professionals who educate and develop talent in high ability learners. It gives them a place to refine ideas and share good practice. The programme concentrates on curriculum, pedagogy and practice, and aims to widen both the knowledge and the competence of those who complete it. It reviews current trends, issues and policies in provision for high ability learners, along with differentiated teaching methods grounded in theory, practice and research. Participants leave with a stronger basis for planning learning experiences that suit learners of differing ability. It is one of 16 specialisations within the Master of Education, a degree intended mainly for teachers employed by schools in Singapore or by the Ministry of Education. Study is available full-time or part-time.
