Overview

This one-year distance programme of 60 credits gives in-depth knowledge of food safety, food hygiene and the factors that affect the quality and properties of food. It also covers how food control is carried out in Sweden. Teaching follows full-time study pace during daytime, and the flexible distance format suits working professionals and recent graduates. The master's degree (magisterexamen) in food science is awarded on completion, and admission requires a bachelor's degree of 180 credits with a 90-credit specialisation in an approved subject such as biology, animal science or nutrition.
