PhD in Energy

The doctoral programme in Energy (EDEY) addresses secure, economically viable and environmentally sustainable energy sources. It is multidisciplinary, integrating physics, materials science, engineering and architecture to develop new materials, devices and conversion technologies. Students gain access to a wide range of laboratories and shared facilities, and graduates move into academic research, industry or start-ups. Candidates with a four- or five-year bachelor in energy-related or similar fields and an excellent record may apply, but prerequisites and extra first-year courses are typically required.
