Overview

The Economics programme gives students the knowledge to examine consumer and producer behaviour and the working of the micro and macroeconomic system. Students apply mathematical and statistical methods to analyse economic and social events and gain a comprehensive view of economic subjects. The normal study period is eight semesters, with a maximum of fourteen. The programme includes an internship. Graduates receive a bachelor's degree in economics and may continue to master's or doctoral study in related fields.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Placement through the EA score type of the YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement. 83 places; lowest placement score 362.1 (success rank 115,922). Also offered as 50% discount and full scholarship (Burslu) variants. Admission follows the YKS result certificate and high school diploma requirements.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
