Overview

This research-led master's course in biochemistry equips students with the techniques used in modern biochemical and molecular biology. Candidates can complete the degree full-time within a single year or choose a longer part-time route that stretches over two years. The core of the course is an extended laboratory project that gives students hands-on experience of designing and carrying out experiments. Communication is also a focus, with students developing their ability to present findings orally and to set them out clearly in writing.
