A wide set of skills is developed here, starting with fundamentals like coding and the machines it runs on. Later, students tackle more advanced areas, among them cybersecurity, machine intelligence and mobile app creation. Emphasis falls on practical experience with the tools and techniques common in industry, so learners handle technology similar to that used by professionals. Assignments and projects build the ability to plan, create and test software. Graduates can enter many different computing careers or continue to postgraduate study, bringing genuine practical experience with them from the very start of working life. Starting dates fall in September 2026 and September 2027 at Exton Park in Chester. Variants with a foundation year or a placement year are available alongside the standard three-year route.
