Coaching and Mentoring PGCert

Delivered entirely online, this postgraduate certificate shapes thoughtful practitioners who will take the lead on mentoring and coaching within schools, colleges and other learning environments. It develops the understanding, critical thinking and practical competence needed to support colleagues' professional growth. Teaching draws on current research into mentoring and coaching and asks learners to appraise that evidence critically and to put coaching models to work in their settings. Reflective practice is stressed, helping participants guide constructive conversations and sustained development among colleagues. Single modules can be taken first, before committing to the whole certificate, and the credit from them may later count towards it, within time limits. Study is part time and lasts a year, with intakes starting in September 2026 and September 2027.
